| Langin Designs wins two top prizes at the 2009 San Diego “Design in wood” International competition held this July. |
Langin Designs are already known as master craftsmen, merging art and impeccable execution in the purest tradition of European Craftsmanship, to create beautiful custom interiors.
The launch of their new Custom Furniture Fabrication at the 2009 San Diego "Design in Wood" international competition, received several industry accolades.
The "Gate" dining table won 2nd place in the Contemporary Furniture category. The jury commended the design saying “Your attention to detail: the ivory* dots, ivory* inlay on legs and use of materials won you high points”. |

In addition the "Guggenheim" Chair, won 2nd place in the Classic Furniture category. "Elegant and powerful deco club chair with superb materials and craftsmanship throughout" said the sixteen person jury. |

The creative force behind Langin Designs, Francois Langin, says "This award launches a new chapter for us. I have always loved to create beautiful interiors in wood, and I am so excited to have received this recognition for our new Custom Furniture Fabrication."
Francois is a French born designer artisan who has dedicated his professional life to his passion. His unique position in his industry is deeply influenced by the craftsmen of an old guild system that dates back to the 12th century.
“It requires vision, knowledge and skills to translate a person’s desires & tastes into emotion, harmony and pleasure, yet to obtain a functional and practical product that fits today’s modern trends. "
His clients include local homeowners and businesses, as well as celebrity clients such as Hassan II, the King of Morocco; NFL professional Todd Lyght and Johnny Depp’s Viper Room. His work has also been showcased at the Pacific Craft Show of Orange County Museum of Art. |
